Sunset Clouds

Instrument Rating

Once you've earned your wings, the clear blue sky will be yours for the taking. However, when the clouds start rolling in you will need your Instrument Rating to continue your mission.

You'll spend some time honing your piloting skills while you build up the required flight experience to qualify for your instrument rating. You can do some of this on your own, with a pilot friend or a Certified Flight Instructor.

You're learning how to fly without being able to see those lovely views you grew accustomed to as a private pilot; and you'll be training just the same!

Aside from how to fly less our favorite of the 5 senses, you will also become further accustomed with our country's complex airspaces and flying environments.

Once you are an official Instrument Rated pilot, you will be able to unlock the full potential of your airplane and expand beyond the horizon you have been used to!
